Resonances in Coupled-Channel Scattering
Excited hadrons are seen as resonances in the scattering of lighter stable hadrons like π , K and η . Many decay into multiple final states necessitating coupled-channel analyses. Recently it has become possible to obtain coupled-channel scattering amplitudes from lattice QCD. Using large diverse bases of operators it is possible to obtain reliable finite volume spectra at energies where multip...
متن کامل2 Coupled channel study of a 0 resonances
A coupled channel model of the a0(980) and a0(1450) resonances has been constructed using the separable πη and KK interactions. We have shown that two S–matrix poles corresponding to the a0(980) meson have significantly different widths in the complex energy plane. The KK to πη branching ratio, predicted in our model near the a0(1450) mass, is in agreement with the result of the Crystal Barrel ...
متن کاملCharmonium and Charmonium–like (?) States
The last few years have witnessed a renaissance in the spectroscopy of heavy quarks. Several long elusive states have now been firmly identified, and several unexpected states have been reported by the high luminosity experiments at Belle, Babar, CLEO, and Fermilab. These discoveries have posed important theoretical questions for our understanding of QCD, and a variety of theoretical models hav...
متن کامل2 00 7 New charmonium - like states
In recent years the B-factories and other machines have found evidence for a large number of new states with hidden charm: candidate hc(1P), ηc(2S), and χc2(2P) states; the well-established X(3872); enhancements called X(3940), Y (3940), and Y (4260); and a new structure at 4350 MeV. Various conventional-charmonium and more exotic interpretations of these data have been proposed. In this talk w...
متن کاملCharmonium from Lattice QCD
Charmonium is an attractive system for the application of lattice QCD methods. While the sub-threshold spectrum has been considered in some detail in previous works, it is only very recently that excited and higherspin states and further properties such as radiative transitions and two-photon decays have come to be calculated. I report on this recent progress with reference to work done at Jeff...
